Background & Experience
After graduating with honors from Kean University, Michael Volpe started his first job as a decorative product specialist for Sherwin-Williams. That is to say he utilized color theory skills to help clients coordinate colors for their painting projects.
Then he had the opportunity to work for a tile company. In this role, he provided homeowners with visual presentations in order to show how new tile would look in their spaces. So Michael was able to hone his computer drafting and rendering skills in this position. His attention to detail earned him repeat customers and referrals.
Michael wanted to explore different opportunities in the design industry, so he began working for Ethan Allen. As a result, Michael worked with different wood finishes, textiles, window treatments, soft goods, and furniture. Moreover, Michael combined showroom meetings with in-home services to best design clients’ interior spaces.

Now as a Design Assistant for Monk’s Design Studio, Michael Volpe’s role is to support the team of Lead Designers. He brings together his experience using color, texture, and material to create beautiful designs. Michael’s passion for interior design shows through in everything he does for his clients. He works diligently to present top-quality work. Michael works within tight deadlines to meet client needs.
Michael and your Lead Designer will provide you with design solutions for kitchen, bathroom, and other interior remodeling projects.
