Our team at Monk’s was called in by a Madison, NJ landlord to perform urgent repairs on an apartment’s bathroom floor. It appeared that the toilet had been leaking and the constant moisture had led to floor damage on the sub floor layer. New tenants were scheduled to move in to the apartment in only three days when the building owner noticed that the floor felt spongy. Would three days be enough for the repairs to be made? Monk’s was able to get in and make those quick repairs to have the apartment ready in time for the new tenants!
Bathroom Floor Rebuilding
Our team began this project by removing the existing tile floor. The toilet and vanity were also removed. With all of these components out of the way our team was able to access the sub-floor. Being made of plywood, the sub-floor was the area with the most severe damage. Luckily our team of skilled carpenters was able to remove and rebuild the water damaged components of the sub-floor.
Our team custom built new plywood pieces to replace the damaged sub-floor.
Once the sub-floor was repaired our team could begin installing the new tiles.
The vanity and toilet were put back in place once the new tiles were set. In only three days our team at Monk’s got this bathroom looking good as new; and just in time for move in day!
Another great project completed by Monk’s!
