The owners of this Morris Plains, NJ home called in our team at Monk’s to update their front porch from a closed space into an open front porch. Additional improvements were made to upgrade the porch space.

Over the course of one week our team opened up this closed off front porch and transformed it into a significantly more open space.
To begin, existing louvered windows and partial walls were removed.
Monk’s carpenters matched up the existing aluminum siding to feather into the rest of the house to ensure that the new updates would maintain a cohesive look with the home.
Brand new pressure treated posts were installed to support the roof.
New pressure treated decking was installed as well. Monk’s painters will stain the new floorboards after they have had a chance to off-gas.
All posts and soffits were wrapped and capped with wood composite. Composite is low maintenance and extremely durable.
