For this particular home our team performed a routine paint job, filled all cracks, and also recaulked the spaces around the home’s crown moldings. All of this important maintenance was completed in only three days.

To begin the project our team carefully cleaned and examined the surfaces that would be painted, the walls, ceiling, trim and mantel.
Over years of the house settling there were several cracks, and the crown molding had pulled away from the wall.
To remedy this our team at Monk’s scraped all of the loose debris out of the cracks and recaulked all seams. The walls were also smoothed and spackled before any painting began. As always, our team takes every measure possible to ensure that your home is protected as we work.
This home’s built ins were wrapped in plastic to protect them as the living room was painted.
All surfaces were treated with one coat of primer before two coats of oil based satin impervo paint were applied. The walls, trim, ceiling and mantel of this Basking Ridge, NJ living room were painted for this project.
Repainting the mantle brings out its crisp architectural details and adds a more finished feeling to the room.
