This Basking Ridge home was in need of a new look for its kitchen. However, the home owner’s did not want to sacrifice the perfectly good cabinets already in place. Here at Monk’s we were able to deliver a solution for this kitchen make over, meeting the customer’s request of completing the job without gutting the kitchen, and without replacing the cabinets; all while still giving this kitchen a fresh new look. At Monk’s we are determined to meet the needs of our customers; after all they are the ones who will be enjoying these new home improvements!
This photo shows the Basking Ridge kitchen before the “kitchen redo”. You can see from this photo the perfectly good cabinets and appliances that the home owners wanted to keep in place. With new tile work and a little Monk’s magic, this kitchen would get a fresh new look in only six days!.
Before anything could be replaced, or any tile work could be started, the components of the kitchen that would remain (the cabinets, and the appliances) would have to be protected. Thus ensuring that they would look as fresh as the new renovations that would be joining them in only a few days’ time.
This island would be getting a new countertop, but the drawers and cabinets would be remaining, therefore we made sure it was very well protected during the remodeling process.
The big changes that would be happening during this six day kitchen remodel are as follows: the current tile floor would be ripped out and replaced, as would the current backsplash and counter tops. The above photograph shows the beginning process of replacing the tile floors. The nice earth-tone tiles beginning to be laid out here, would soon cover the entire kitchen floor.
Here we see a Monk’s team member hard at work! It’s amazing the way that new tile work can completely transform a room!
With the new tile floor in place, the new backsplash became the next priority. Again you can see that our Monk’s team member is taking great measures to protect the existing surfaces as he works to install a new tile backsplash.
Still hard at work! In only six days our customers would have a newly remodeled kitchen! Like a new tile floor, revamping a tile back splash can really transform a kitchen space.
Here is a look at the completed kitchen! This project is a great example of what brand new tile work can do for a space. A new floor, back splash, and countertops made these home owner’s feel as though they had a brand new space in their house, while still keeping their cabinets, and appliances.
