Scope of Work: Oak Railings Replacement
Town: Chatham, NJ
Timing: 3 days
This Chatham NJ split-level home featured 1970s style metal railings and spindles. The homeowners wanted to update these with something more aesthetically pleasing, durable and timeless. They asked Monk’s to build, install and stain new oak railings for their home.
New Oak Railings
First, we removed all the existing metal spindles and railings. This included one full set of stairs, as well as a couple partial sets of stairs, and a railing to separate the living room from the sunken dining room.
Then we began to install the oak railings and the spindles. Once everything was securely installed, our painters got to work. The spindles were painted a traditional white. The railings were stained a light mahogany. One accent wall next to the stairway was changed to a deep blue color.
In just three days, this split-level home received a noticeable upgrade making it more beautiful and more safe. We can do the same for your home.
