When it became necessary to

When it became necessary to revitalize the Manse (pastor’s house) at Lamington Presbyterian Church, we decided to work with Ward Malnak at Monks. It was a big job, sprucing up a 200+ year old, five bedroom house that hadn’t had a thorough going over in many years. From our initial walk-through, it was clear that Ward understood our objectives, priorities and limitations. Ward made some key observations and came up with numerous creative solutions that saved us money. His objective was to try to get us to the result we wanted and needed, and not just to sell services. We repaired and repainted both the interior and exterior of the house, refinished old oak kitchen flooring and “screened” pine flooring in the remainder of the house, replaced kitchen countertops and refinished all kitchen drawers and cabinets. Ward also brought in an electrical contractor for some repairs and upgrades needed for the house and its garage. I don’t think we could be happier.
