New Composite Deck in Florham Park, NJ

Monk’s Method

The home’s original wood deck was deteriorating from years of wear and exposure to the elements.

To begin this project our team first removed the entire rotted wood deck, including the frame. New footings were installed and a new frame was built out of pressure-treated lumber.

Modeling the new structure after the previously existing deck, it would have the same footprint. This also allowed the stairs to meet up with the existing brick walkway.

The frame was built of pressure-treated lumber, while the rest of the deck was built out of composite.  Composite is a very durable, moisture-resistant, and low-maintenance material. Composite is great for outdoor projects because it will not rot and deteriorate, even with constant exposure to the elements.

Our skilled team of carpenters always brings ingenuity and innovation to the projects we create. For this particular project our team installed hinged latticework.  This hinged latticework allows the homeowners to use the space under their deck for storage.

In only one week our team had built a beautiful new composite deck for this Florham Park home!
