Scope of Work: Kitchen Remodel, Dining Remodel, Den Remodel
Due to a chronic health issue with one of the homeowners, this home had been a little neglected. The kitchen was the worst of all. The room was nearly unusable. When the living situation improved, we were able to provide a complete kitchen transformation.
Monk’s Method
Firstly, the Estimator went to the home and took measurements. Then the homeowner met with a Designer in our Morristown, NJ showroom. Our Designer reconfigured the kitchen layout, which included a new window and an island to provide more counter space and storage. Then she guided the homeowner through selecting new cabinetry, countertops, backsplash tile, fixtures, and hardware.
Demolition included a full gut of the kitchen, eating area, and adjacent den. So, the entire back half of the first floor was taken down to the studs. Then the electric and plumbing were upgraded, and all new walls were built.
Afterward, new flooring went in throughout the kitchen and den area. Then the white kitchen cabinetry and crown molding were installed. Then the den received a new fireplace surround complete with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. Finally, both rooms were painted a light grey color to tie the entire space together.
The once dated and dark space is now modern, light and bright. The homeowner is absolutely ecstatic with her kitchen transformation.
