Background & Experience
As the daughter of a builder, Lori Basek spent her childhood on many job sites with her father. With this construction background, it was an easy transition to take on the role of interior designer. It wasn’t long before Lori was designing kitchens and baths for her dad’s new-build houses.
With 29 years of experience, Lori began her career in the kitchen and bath industry at a small dealership in Bergen County. She was employed by this company for over 19 years. Having provided many clients with beautiful kitchens, baths, and laundry rooms, Lori’s career shifted as she took on another role in the industry focused on assisting clients with final selection and customer service.
Lori’s most recent work experience was for a kitchen and bath firm in Somerset County. In this role, Lori assumed both the design and the project management roles on all of her projects. This left her with much less time for her passion, which is designing interior spaces for her clients.
Lori joined Monk’s recently and is happy to be designing full-time as part of our team.
