One way to save time and money during a bathroom remodel is to retain the existing layout. By doing this, the plumbing and electric doesn’t need to change, which are two expensive elements of any remodel. Additionally, you can forgo the rough plumbing and electric inspections which can add days or more to a timeline.

For this Bridgewater, NJ remodel we kept the existing footprint, but updated all the components. This family was able to enjoy their fully remodeled bathroom in only a few weeks.

After working with a Designer in our showroom, all of the new materials were delivered on site. After inspecting the items, we began the demolition process.
We replaced the decorative bathroom window with a new energy-efficient window featuring frosted glass. This option lets in lots of light while still providing privacy.
We removed the tub and small 3’x3′ corner shower. A modern, free-standing tub was installed. We built a new shower as large as the room dimensions would allow. This will give the homeowners a little more elbow room.
For the tile, a few different patterns were selected. First, we laid the shower tile which was a pretty black and white basketweave pattern. The floor tile that we installed was faux wood plank tiles made of porcelain. In the shower and tub surround, we put in a white subway tile with two bands of decorative glass mosaic.
Moving to the other side of the room, we replaced the corner vanity unit. The two sink areas remain, but instead of a mirror and vanity table, we installed corner cabinetry. This gives the homeowners needed storage space.
With new paint, accessories, lights and fixtures, this bathroom is now ready to be enjoyed.
