After some years, a home’s wooden exterior must be repainted. The weather takes its toll on the paint and the wood. Most people think that moisture, like rain or snow, is the main culprit. However, it is the sun that does the most damage to our home’s exterior painting. Monk’s painters provided a full exterior painting project to improve the health of this home.
Scope of Work: Exterior Painting in Mountain Lakes
Exterior Painting in Mountain Lakes NJ
As you can see, the front of this home is exposed to a lot of direct sunlight. For this reason, the paint is peeling and faded in many parts of the exterior. Our painters began this project by hand scraping all the loose paint from the shingles. Then the painters pressure-washed the home. This rids the exterior of any remaining loose paint, as well as dirt and mildew.
Once the home is completely dry, the painters applied a coat of primer to any of the scraped areas. As you can see above, this was most of the home!
The homeowner chose a sage green color. We applied two coats of premium exterior paint to the shingles. All trim was painted white. Now, this exterior painting in Mountain Lakes is complete. And, this home is ready to fight off the sun for another few years.
