This home had been converted into a rental property some time back and hadn’t been given a lot of attention since. Now that the owners were ready to sell the property, they wanted to make some changes. Since a family would be most likely to purchase the home, a few changes were needed to appeal to that market. The owners hired Monk’s for wall removal, wall repair, as well as interior painting.
Scope of Work: Wall removal, wall repair, interior painting

The first matter was to remove the wall that boxed in the main stairway in the two-story home. A wall and doorway were put up to separate the two floors of the home when it was being rented. Now, it was necessary to open up the foyer and appear like a typical stairway in a single-family Colonial home.
Carpenters took down the wall and door frame. They re-framed the area, patched and painted. Now, the foyer and hallways are brighter and lighter.
The wall in the stairway down to the basement was in need of repair. We removed all the damaged drywall and replaced the section.
Once the carpenters were finished, the painting team got to work. The painters patched, primed and painted walls and ceilings. Rooms were painted white to give the new owners a clean slate.
We also removed all the carpeting and put down new subfloor, as part of a follow-up project.
The new homeowners are enjoying their family home!
