If you have a first-floor laundry room, most likely it also doubles as a mud room. Since laundry rooms are often positioned near the back door, the laundry room becomes the default area for coats and shoes, as well as vacuum cleaners, brooms, and other supplies. This Florham Park, NJ laundry room is no different. The homeowners were tired of appliances and supplies in corners and on floors. They wanted to increase their cabinetry space to be able to put things away and declutter the room.
We reconfigured their cabinetry and stacked the washer and dryer to allow for a floor to ceiling pantry unit. A fresh coat of light aqua paint made this a happy space to come home to.
Scope of Work: Cabinetry installation, interior painting
Town: Florham Park, NJ
Making the Most of a Multi-Purpose Laundry Room
The Estimator first came to the home to discuss the project and take measurements. Then the homeowner met with a Designer in our showroom to select the cabinetry style that fit their style and budget.
Once the materials were on site, the crew removed one cabinet to make room for the stacked washer and dryer. The new utility pantry was installed in this newly created space. Once the carpentry work was complete, our painters came in to finish the job. We painted the room a bright aqua color that complemented the white cabinetry.
Now the utility pantry can hide away the vacuum and broom, as well as cleaning supplies. This multi-purpose room is ready for action.
