Most bathroom renovation projects fall into two categories. The first is a bathroom makeover. This is when we replace some items like the vanity, toilet, and tile, without changing the layout, the plumbing nor the electric. The second is a bathroom remodel. This is when the entire bathroom gets replaced, sometimes referred to as a “gut”. This Randolph bathroom project falls somewhere in between.
In order to conserve budget, the homeowners elected to keep there large jetted tub and tub deck and design the rest of the new bathroom features around the tub.
Scope of Work: Bathroom Remodel
Town: Randolph, NJ
Incorporating the Tub Into the New Design
The homeowners worked with our design team to figure out the best way to incorporate the tub into a refreshed new bathroom. They collaborated to incorporate a similar white subway tile in the shower that surrounds the tub. In addition, the accent tile in the shower would be carried over to the wall tile that works as a backsplash for the tub. Now, despite the shower, vanity, and flooring being entirely new, the existing tub doesn’t look out of place.
This all-white bathroom was warmed up with a wood toned double vanity. The framed mirrors over each sink also gave the space a more updated look.
The framed shower was upgraded to a frameless shower that really makes the space a lot more open and airy.
New wood-look tile finishes off the new bathroom.
