Repairing a Deck After Superstorm Sandy in Madison, NJ

While our Morris County, NJ customers escaped ocean flooding from Superstorm Sandy, she still caused a great deal of damage this far inland. Unfortunately for these homeowners, a tree fell on their back deck causing considerable damage. We repaired the damaged railing and lattice using the same material as the existing deck.

We carefully removed the damaged railing to protect the deck floor that was to remain.

This cracked post needed to be replaced with a brand new post that could bear the weight of the repaired deck.

One of our skilled carpenters is installing the new railing. You can also see the new weight-bearing post in the photo below.

While the rebuilt railing and lattice was pressure-treated and stained to match the existing deck, the photos before the staining process best show how and where we repaired this damaged deck as you can see below.
