Scope of Work: Bathroom remodel
The hallway bathroom in this Moris Plains home was a very typical family bathroom. It was a narrow rectangle with a double vanity, shower over tub, and toilet. However, this bathroom was original to the home, and it showed in the finishes. So, we removed everything from the bathroom and replaced it with brand new pieces and modern finishes. Quite a transformation!
Monk’s Method
Our crew demolished the original bathroom down to studs. The brown toilet, tub, and sinks were all removed. We took out the large mirror and surface-mount medicine cabinets. Then the crew removed the dark brown wall tile as well.
Once we had a clean slate, we rebuilt the walls. Then we installed the new floor tile. The homeowner selected a wood-look porcelain tile. We hooked up a new white cast iron tub. Over the tub, large high-gloss subway tiles were put in. The homeowner opted to replace the mirrored shower doors with a simple, colorful shower curtain.
An up-to-date double vanity was installed. Shaker style cabinetry in grey with granite countertops went in. Undermount sinks and brushed nickel hardware and faucets complete the vanity.
Lastly, we painted the room a very light green to add warmth. This new family bathroom is already getting lots of use!
