The owners of this home called in our team at Monk’s to install and finish new oak floors.  In only three days these homeowners had brand new finished oak floors in their home to match the floor already installed in their hallway.

Monk’s Method

The oak floor was brought in and prepped for installation.  The existing carpet was pulled up and removed from the room.

The oak floor was installed.

The new floor was thoroughly sanded.

Next the oak floor was given a coat of stain.

After the wood was stained it was treated with three coats of bona finish.  Bona finish was used in this particular project because it is a water based finish.  Since the homeowners were expecting a new baby and were concerned about the volatile organic compounds that can be released when other finishes are used, the customers opted to use a safer option; the waterborne bona finish.

n only three days of days this Basking Ridge home had brand new oak floors installed and finished, perfectly matching the existing floors in their hallway!
