The two-car detached garage of this Madison NJ home was built from low maintenance brick. However, even brick structures feature trim that is often made of wood. The wooden trim of this garage was rotting and needed to be replaced. In just two days we replaced all the trim and rotted soffits with Azek composite.

Trim Replacement on Detached Garage
Trim replacement is typically a straightforward carpentry project that our carpenters do every day of the week. The carpenters start by removing all the rotted areas. For this detached garage, they removed the rotted soffit area, as well as all the trim around the two garage doors.
The wood trim was replaced with Azek composite. This material is very durable and low maintenance and it won’t rot like natural wood. Once all the trim was cut and installed, the painters began their work. In addition to painting the trim on the garage, they also painted the trim on the main brick house. This included the paneled ceiling of the front door overhang. Pictures of this improvement can be seen below.
When we completed this project, the home and detached garage were ready to take on the elements.
