Recently, my master bath shower required a new floor and minimal wall tiles. I was warned about “hidden unknowns” behind the wall and to my dismay there was wood rot and a carpenter ant nest. The contractor advised me of the situation and the foreman Bill Buckner (Yes, that is his real name) discussed the issue with me. Construction halted while the exterminator eradicated the ant nest and within 2 hours, construction resumed.
The contractors were polite, professional and quite considerate of keeping things tidy. Bill Buckner followed up daily and the project was completed within a reasonable amount of time despite the additional work.
I have been using Monks for several years. Kurt Becker is a mighty, nice young man and takes his time when discussing pricing.
In conclusion, you can hire contractors more cheaply; however it has been my experience you get what you pay for and Monks is superior to the many “so called” contractors I have had the misfortune to hire. It all started with a brochure in the mailbox and the rest is excellent workmanship history!
