Entry Room Remodel with Trim Installation and Interior Painting by Monk’s- Florham Park, NJ 07932

Monk’s Method

The first step in this project was to remove the existing wall paper in the front entryway.  We made sure that the walls would be free of wall paper so that our carpenters would have clean, smooth walls to work with when the trim and wainscoting were installed.

Once the walls were ready our team of carpenters could begin their work.  To give the entryway interesting detail our team built new trim, and custom wainscoting.  These architectural details are great ways to customize the interior of your home. They create a more finished, formal look for any room in your house.

Besides the crown molding pictured above, our team also installed picture frame moldings, and chair and rail molding.  The owners of this Florham Park home chose to use wainscoting to ornament their stairway.  Wainscoting is a common choice for homeowners looking to dress up this often overlooked space.

To add even more of an updated look to this home our team of Monk’s replaced the existing doors with new six panel doors.

Once all of the carpentry work for the wainscoting and crown molding was completed our team gave the entryway a full interior paint job.  All surfaces were given a full coat of primer, followed by two coats of interior paint.

In only one week our team had transformed this entryway into a more formal looking, updated space.
